The “Taikanso” ryokan (Japanese inn) was established in July 1948 and has repeatedly changed with the times.
It is also known as an inn associated with Yokoyama Taikan, a master of Japanese painting, where you can enjoy a different kind of open-air bath and Kyoto-style kaiseki cuisine.
The Shinkansen “Kodama” takes about 50 minutes from Tokyo to Atami.
