This is the first time I’ve ever been to a hotel in Japan where you can experience the richness of nature through a combination of hot springs and scenery.

It is a healing space where you can spend your time in a vast private space of 10,000 tsubos as if you were back home.

It takes about 35 minutes from Mishima Station to Shuzenji via the Izu Hakone Railway, and about 50 minutes from Shuzenji to Doi by bus.

The natural and unspoiled atmosphere of this location will make you feel like you are in your element.

Biwa offers two outdoor baths free of charge, one in the guest room and the other on the top floor of the hotel.

The first is “Tengu no Gourd”, where you can sit on a rock bath from a high place and look out over the scenery, and the second is “Kappa no Kurai”, a white granite bath with a refreshing atmosphere.

The second is the white granite “Kappa no Orae” which has a refreshing atmosphere. Enjoy the different location from the open-air bath in the guest room, and after the bath, drink the milk provided by the local farm and have a fresh time that you cannot feel in your daily life.

We are proposing an old house style detached house based on Japanese modern style consisting of 8 buildings in total.

The guest room types are available in three buildings with two-story structures and five buildings with one-story structures.

All of the guest rooms have open-air baths, so you can enjoy the view of Suruga Bay in front of you and the different expressions of the scenery depending on the time of day.

You can indulge in Biwa’s creative kaiseki cuisine that expresses the essence of Izu and the seasons.

The kaiseki dishes served vary from month to month, and include seafood from Suruga Bay and plenty of locally grown vegetables.

Each guest room has its own private dining room, so you can enjoy your meal in complete privacy, surrounded by a sunken hearth, with a view of Suruga Bay beside you.
